Вторая запись в концептуальной серии «вещественных» релизов от Siberian Improvisation Company! (SIC!), где уличные импровизации и полевые записи сочетаются с каким-либо материальным выражением места. Если первый релиз из этой серии (Spreequell / Die Waffe des Proletariats, AP42) был записан в Берлине на берегу Шпрее, и включал в себя воду из этой реки в пластиковых бутылках от местного бренда Spreequell, либо (на выбор) камень из берлинской мостовой, используемый местным пролетариатом как оружие в стычках с полицией, то второй – The Snow – был записан в родном для проекта городе Кемерово на берегах рек Томь и Искитимка весной 2020-го. Материальной стороной релиза (характерным выражением породившего его места) является талый грязный снег, собранный в промзоне столицы Кузбасса, и упакованный в стеклянные баночки (снег в Кузбассе иногда бывает чёрным, да). Название также отсылает к отцам – Coil – на музыке которых взрослели многие будущие участники Siberian Improvisation Company!. Добро пожаловать назад, прошлое – это прекрасно!

The second record in the conceptual series of “material” releases from Siberian Improvisation Company! (SIC!) where street improvisations and field recordings are combined with material expressions of the places where they were made. If the first release of this series (Spreequell / Die Waffe des Proletariats, AP42) was recorded in Berlin on the banks of Spree, and included water from this river in plastic bottles from the local brand Spreequell, or (optionally) stones from Berlin pavements, used by the local proletariat as a weapon in clashes with the police, the second – The Snow – was recorded in the project's home town Kemerovo on the banks of the rivers Tom and Iskitimka in the spring of 2020. The material side of the release (a characteristic expression of the place that gave birth to it) is thawed dirty snow collected in the industrial zone of the capital of Kuzbass and packed in little glass jars (snow in Kuzbass is sometimes black, you know). The name also refers to the fathers - Coil - on whose music many future members of Siberian Improvisation Company! grew up. Welcome back, the past is beautiful!
