Pandateen – муз. проект, цель которого, со слов его основателя, состоит в том, чтобы экспериментировать со звуками и инструментами, пребывая при этом фактически вне своего тела и сознания – в некоем медитативном состоянии «вне-себя», или психосоматического автоматизма: тело, находясь здесь и сейчас, работает совершенно автономно, сознание же при этом может быть вообще где угодно. Авторство этой музыки принадлежит уже «кому-то» извне, а так называемый «основатель проекта» является лишь телом, через которое работает тот самый «автор извне» (то самое «внутреннее», или, напротив, радикально «внешнее» я). «Личность тела», по сути, никакого отношения к данным записям уже не имеет.

Pandateen – это, стало быть, «медиумический», или, если угодно, «шаманский» проект, практикующий открытость некоему другому миру (условно назовём его «японским»). Из этого в каком-то смысле «японского» мира, смещая личность-тело, приходит панда. Панда говорит на ломаном английском, ратует за экологию и проповедует вегетарианство.

Такова фабула или легенда Pandateen. И неизвестно, конечно, стоит ли верить ей или нет. Однако рискнём предположить, что звук, собственно, и оказывается тем медиумом или мостом, который связывает нас с «японским» миром. Не только это-вот я или это-вот тело производит здесь звук. Но в дрожи пространства, определённо, есть что-то ещё, или кто-то ещё. Звук пожимает руки духам, и в дрожи здешнего раздаётся нездешнее.

J-World представляет собой своеобразный рассказ медиума, отчёт о проделанном путешествии. Составляющие данный альбом записи – это серия опытов последовательного погружения, или выхода из себя. Все работы, за исключением первой, в той или иной степени созданы вне состояния рассудка.

Pandateen is a musical project that aims, as its founder says, to experiment with sounds and instruments in some meditative state of being out-of-self, or psychosomatic automatism: the body, staying here and now, works autonomously, and the mind may find itself anywhere. The authorship of the music belongs to «someone» from the outside, while the so-called «founder of the project» is just a body, through which that «author from the outside» (that «inmost», or, on the contrary, radically «outmost» self) works. «The person of the body», actually, has no relation to these records at all.

So, Pandateen is a «mediumistic», or, if you will, a «shamanic» project practicing the openness to some other world (let’s call it «Japanese» for convenience). From that world, «Japanese» in a sense, comes the Panda, displacing the body-person. The Panda speaks broken English, stands for ecology, and advocates veganism.

That’s the legend of Pandateen. It is not known, of course, whether it's worth believing or not. However, we’ll venture to suppose that the sound, in fact, is the medium, or the bridge that connects us with the «Japanese» world. Not only this person, or this body makes here the sound. But in the trembling of the space, surely, there is something or someone else. The sound handshakes with the spirits, and, in the tremor of that which is here, that which is not here resounds.

J-World is a kind of a story of a medium, a sort of a travel report. The records compiling this album are a series of experiments on consecutive immersion, or getting out-of-self. All the pieces, except the first one, are created outside of the state of the reason in some extent.
