Томский импровизационный Strangelet Ensemble выпускает дебютный альбом, и это песенный альбом — вполне канонический по форме, построенный из песен и монологов, неразрывно связанных с музыкальной составляющей. Ансамбль при этом остаётся верен себе — сам материал представляет собой целиком и полностью спонтанную импровизацию, пойманную в записи магию "здесь и сейчас", без каких-либо предварительных обсуждений и договорённостей в отношении хотя бы единой ноты и слова.

Содержание этих песен и рассказов, как и выбранный музыкальный язык, опровергает стереотип о принципиальной "абстрактности" свободной импровизации. Лирический герой — Y — обращается в первую очередь к своему поколению через общие культурные коды и общую память, вступает со слушателем в диалог. В то же время спонтанность его потока сознания похожа на своего рода live streaming, интернет-трансляцию мыслей и снов героя, запечатлённую и отчеканенную в форме альбома.

Tomsk-based improvisation oriented Strangelet Ensemble releases its debut album, and that is a song album — quite canonical, built around songs and monologues tightly intertwined with the musical element. The Ensemble, however, stays true to itself — the material presented here is entirely spontaneous improvisation, the captured magic of 'here and now', without any prior discussion regarding even a single note or word.

The subject matter of these songs and stories, as well as the chosen musical language, defies the stereotype of allegedly fundamental 'abstractness' of free improvisation. The speaker, Y, appeals primarily to his generation through common cultural codes and common memory, engages in a dialogue with the listener. At the same time, the spontaneity of the stream of his consciousness appears like a sort of online live streaming of the character's thoughts and dreams, imprinted in an album form.
