Совместная запись томской импров-формации Strangelet Trio (Алиса Ефромеева, Вадим Дикке и Юрий Туров) и британского гитариста, продюсера и композитора Лео Абрахамса, музыканта из большой и пёстрой компании фестиваля МузЭнерго. Запись сделана в Томске во время российского тура Лео в ноябре 2019, и фиксирует то самое ускользающее событие пересечения, что, возможно, является одним из самых ярких в импрове: схождение разных линий, почерков, характеров, бэкграундов, даже обстоятельств. Создаваемая здесь и сейчас звуковая ткань переливается в широком спектре настроений: от маниакально-торжественного до меланхолически-медитативного, порою перетекающего в весьма кинематографичный саспенс. И это не просто эклектичная смесь разнородного, но сложная, хрупкая, атмосферная и вместе с тем монументальная конструкция, рассредоточенная в «моментах присутствия». И эта конструкция тем более поражает, когда узнаёшь, что музыканты, фактически, играют вместе впервые, более того – когда с удивлением обнаруживаешь, что это концерт.

A joint recording of the Tomsk-based improv formation Strangelet Trio (Alisa Efromeeva, Wadim Dicke, and Yuri Turov) and the British guitarist, producer and composer Leo Abrahams, a musician from the large and motley company of the MuzEnergo festival. The recording was made in Tomsk during Leo's Russian tour in November 2019, and captures that very elusive event of intersection, which is perhaps one of the most remarkable in improv: the convergence of different lines, manners, characters, backgrounds, even circumstances. The sound texture created here and now shimmers in a wide range of moods: from manic and solemn to melancholic and meditative, and sometimes flowing into cinematic suspense. And this is not just an eclectic mixture of heterogeneous elements, but a complex, fragile, atmospheric, and at the same time monumental construction dispersed across “moments of presence”. And this document is all the more striking for the fact that the musicians are actually playing together for the first time, at a live concert.
